UUK/GuildHE Accommodation Code of Practice Administration
The UUK/GuildHE Accommodation Code of Practice for University Managed Student Accommodation (ACoP) is one of three codes of practice for the higher education sector that were approved by Parliament in April 2006, and has over 140 university members.
The information on this website is for universities that are, or wish to become, ACoP members and for auditors. Information for students can be found on the Student Accommodation Code website.
The New UUK/GuildHE Accommodation Code of Practice
Following a detailed review, the 2025 UUK/GuildHE Accommodation Code of Practice came into force on 1st May 2025. This updated Code made the legislation increasingly relevant and robust, addressing up to date issues such as sustainability and student wellbeing, whilst continuing to ensure high quality and safe accommodation.
