
Trudy Williams - National Code Director
Trudy joined ACoP in 2022, bringing more than two decades of leadership experience across IT, campus operations, and commercial services within the Higher Education sector. Much of her work previously focused on service transformation across safety and security, cleaning, catering, sport, and other essential student‑focused services.
At ACoP, Trudy leads the strategic development, delivery, and evaluation of services for members, ensuring that all strategic projects are successfully executed. She also serves as the key liaison for the statutory governance processes required to support member institutions in meeting Code compliance obligations.
Trudy oversees engagement with current and prospective members, partners, stakeholders, and legislative bodies, and works closely with the ACoP Governance Bodies to strengthen the organisation’s impact and future direction.

Tamsin Lester - National Code Advisor
Tamsin joined ACoP in 2023 following a career in policing. With extensive experience in risk management, strategic planning, and high‑level stakeholder engagement, she is passionate about supporting others to achieve the best possible outcomes. A strong communicator, Tamsin also speaks several languages. As National Code Advisor, Tamsin plays a key role in supporting the Board Chairs with the ongoing development of ACoP. She reports to Government on compliance and membership data and works directly with Code members to help them meet and maintain the required standards.

Fiona Wilson - National Code Advisor
Fiona joined ACoP in 2024 following a 30‑year career in Higher Education, where she most recently served as an IT Business Partner. In this role, she specialised in bridging the gap between business units and IT teams, translating organisational needs into effective technology solutions. As a National Code Advisor, Fiona brings extensive stakeholder engagement, customer support, and process improvement experience to support Code members in achieving and maintaining compliance.

Tracy Altham - Interim National Code and Projects Manager
Tracy is the Interim National Code Manager and a member of the CAS Board. She stepped into this role to support The Code's transition to a standalone Special Interest Organisation under Professional HE Services.
In this role, Tracy focuses on the practical operation of The Code, including the implementation of the new Code Management System and supporting members to meet their submission obligations. Alongside this national role, she works at the University of Manchester, where she is responsible for ensuring The Code is applied effectively in practice.

Dominic joined PHES in 2014 and since then has worked closely with several new associations, their executive committees, and staff to welcome them to the Company. As Managing Director his priorities are to develop PHES to support the SIOs in the best way possible, to motivate and develop our people and ensure we operate first-class company governance.
Andrea joined the PHES team in September 2023, having spent the last 14 years working in the sporting sector, and has also worked in HE. Her role is to lead the finance function across PHES, supporting the SIO’s with budget setting, management and ensuring that the day-to-day finance transactions are processed in a timely efficient manner.
Alex joined the PHES team in August 2019 as our first dedicated IT post. His role of ICT Manager is to deliver the IT strategy within PHES, provide day to day support for staff, but also to help each association with their digital plans – such as new website developments, making the most out of the database and data analytics.
Jemma joined Professional H E Services (PHES) as Membership Officer in February 2018. She had previously worked for ten years as Events Organiser for Loughborough University. In this role she planned and organised events of various kinds, from industry exhibitions and academic conferences to business seminars. Her role as Membership Officer for PHES includes events support, database management, approving new members, web content updates, advertising sector jobs and a host of other things, all for each of the PHES Special Interest Organisations (SIOs).
Ruth joined Professional H E Services (PHES) as Membership Officer in November 2018. She previously worked for four years as Finance Assistant at Imago Venues, part of Loughborough University. She has also worked in customer service and finance roles. Her role as Membership Officer for PHES includes events support, database management, approving new members, web content updates, advertising sector jobs and a host of other things, all for each of the PHES Special Interest Organisations (SIOs).
Jody began his role as ICT Support Officer at PHES in September 2024, bringing extensive experience in providing ICT support within the HE sector. Jody’s role is to support all our associations with the delivery of online conferences and events. His primary focus will be virtual events, and Jody will also provide website and technical support to our staff when conferences and events are not taking place.
John joined the PHES team in December 2025, bringing with him more than 25 years of expertise in ICT. His career spans the management of IT services across small and medium-sized enterprises, government departments, and charitable organisations. John is responsible for leading and overseeing all facets of IT and digital infrastructure, ensuring operational efficiency, robust security, and the strategic advancement of PHES’s technological capabilities.
Rachel joined the PHES team in June 2024, having spent many years working in a variety of finance roles. Rachel’s role is to support Andrea Clargo, the wider team and SIO’s in ensuring that the day-to-day finance transactions are processed in a timely efficient manner.
Holly joined the PHES team in May 2024, having spent many years working in the HE sector in a variety of roles. Holly’s role is to support the routine operations of PHES, the Managing Director and the SIO teams.
Fliss joined PHES in August 2025 as Operations Officer, having spent 7 years working in contract and research support roles within the higher education sector. The focus on her role is to support the routine operations of PHES, the Managing Director and the SIO teams.
